WorldAutoSteel has released a 2012 version 3 of the UCSB Greenhouse Gas Automotive Materials Comparison Model, which features several significant upgrades from the previous generation. The main goal in creating Version 3.0 was to increase the vehicle types that can be assessed with the models, and the conditions under which they are used. A secondary goal was to update powertrain data to reflect current state. With it more detailed comparisons of total life cycle emissions can be made.
